With the commencement of the Property Practitioners Act from 1 February 2022, there are significant amendments that everyone in the property industry should know about. Many managing agents and estate agents are concerned about the implications around fidelity fund certificates, transformation and the new board of authority replacing the Estate Agency Affairs Board.
The Property Practitioners Act is a consumer-focused piece of legislation that has been designed to protect consumers in the property industry and as with all new legislation, it will take a while for the implications to settle in.
