Event 14: Rising to the COVID challenge.

This webinar took place on Thursday 28 October 2021.

Rising to the COVID challenge:

Let’s talk positive transformation.

For our October webinar, we considered the idea of conscious transformation. While the events of the last 18 months have forced some to re-evaluate their lives in a positive way, it left a lingering feeling of being socially disconnected and isolated in others. How has the exposure to our human vulnerability affected our view of the world?

In this webinar, we looked at a few different ways that we can respond to the various issues revealed to us over the last 18 months.

Our guest for this webinar wass human rights lawyer and organisational development expert, Ilze Olckers. She discussed ways in which we can transcend the sense of shock, isolation and distance some of us might be experiencing. By learning to respond in a more conscious and intentional way, we can rediscover a sense of community through individual practice.

Ilze also shared six principles and practices that may help you deal with some of the issues raised by COVID-19. She has developed a useful framework that can be used to become more fully present and to rise to the challenge in a positive and transformative way.
