Event 10: Going Legal: We review 3 benchmark cases.

This webinar took place on Wednesday, 23 June 2021.

Going legal: We review 3 benchmark cases.

For our June webinar, we reviewed three of the latest and most interesting cases relating to sectional title.

First up, a case heard in the Johannesburg High Court relating to Airbnb: Is this decision the final nail in the coffin for Airbnb owners?

Next, we’ll discuss a case was initially heard at the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) where the award was taken on Appeal to the Western Cape High Court. It relates to the controversial issue of converting garages into living quarters.

Lastly, our legal eagles discuss a much-debated adjudication from the Ombud’s office about the rules relating to pets in community schemes: Is a rule allowing dogs, and not cats, unreasonable?

Do not miss the next Women in Sectional Title (WiST) webinar on Wednesday 23 June 2021 at 11h00.
